Travel Grant

The ITU Maritime Hub Travel Grant aims to support and encourage field work conducted in the maritime sector in relation to an elective, bachelor project or master thesis or similar.

Travel grant details:

• Grant size is maximum 10,000 DKK, and the amount applied for should be mentioned in the application.
• Grant covers only direct travel cost.
• Minor exceptions to grant size can occur.

 

Who can apply?

• Bachelor and Master students enrolled at the IT University of Copenhagen.
• The field work must be ECTS credit bearing.
• The field work must be related to an independent project including data collection (e.g. Bachelor or Master’s thesis). Please note that you can also apply as a group, but the stipend will be shared among the participants.
• Funding must be used for upcoming field work to be conducted within 12 months after granting.

 

Assessment criteria

• Relevance to the maritime sector & importance of field work to the project.

How to apply?

• Send a motivated application of max 500 words – including: a) aim of the project b) country where field work will be conducted c) planned time schedule d) program/course/discipline and e) tentative budget.
• Applications are accepted all year round, but there are only given 4-8 grants per year.
• Send your application to maritime_hub@itu.dk.
