Maritime Research Alliance PhD Day: The Liner Shipping Game
On 30 May 2024, the MRA network for maritime PhD fellows and postdocs invites junior researchers to try The Liner Shipping Game at Copenhagen Business School from 9.00-15.00.
ITU is a member of Maritime Research Alliance (MRA), so all PhDs and early career researchers from ITU can signup.
Location:
Room K 2.53, 2nd floor, Kilevej 14a, 2000 Frederiksberg
At the event, you can take part in the Liner Shipping Game with other junior researchers from the network, which gives you the unique opportunity to simulate and experience how a modern container shipping line or supply chain works. During the game, the team will take responsibility for core commercial and operational tasks of a container shipping line or supply chain, including optionally vital terminal and vessel stowage tasks. Through teamwork, they can maximize carrier profitability and sustainability which they are measured on. Each player gets to try different roles in the shipping line or supply chain by rotating and collaborating closely with other team members.
Program:
9.00-10.00 Introduction and game start with coffee and light breakfast
10.00-12.00 Game
12.00-13.00 Lunch
